The Knight of Columbus, Council #10967  and Council #15175  will be collecting gently used or new winter coats (adults and children) for St. Vincent DePaul starting the weekend of November 8th and will continue thru December 7^th. Large collection containers will be labeled for adults and children outside the entrance to Shamrock Hall (old church entrance) from 8am to 6pm daily. At St. Mary donations can made during weekend mass times in the church vestibule. This collection of coats is in honor of St. Martin of Tours, who is “know for using his military sword to cut his cloak in two, to give half to a beggar clad in only rags in the depth of winter” (Wikipedia). St. Martin of Tours’ feast day is November 11^th. This coat collection continues a long tradition begun by Fr. Tom Shea, deceased and former parochial vicar at St. Patrick Church of Merna.

Your assistance is needed daily for about 30 minutes to help remove coats from the storage bins located outside Shamrock Hall. Doors will be open from 6pm to 6:30pm to remove coats from the bins and hang the coats on the coat racks located in the vestibule of Shamrock Hall. If you can assist please click here to sign up.

We are delighted to invite you to our “Breakfast with St. Nicholas” on December 7^th form 8am to 11am. Prime time with St. Nicholas is from 8:00am to 10:30am with reserved seating limitation. You can make this event a success by doing two things. First, bring your kids, grandkids, and invite your family and friends to this event and second by volunteering for this event. New this year we will be providing biscuit and gravy in addition to our delicious pancakes and sausage!  

Tickets can ONLY be purchased in advance online since there is reserve seating. By CLICKING HERE you can purchase your tickets for the event and reserve your seating.  The cost is 1 Adult - $6.50, 2 -Adults $12, Family Option 1: 2 adults and 1-2 children - $20 & Family Option 2: 2 adults and 3 or more children - $25.  Note the day of the event the cost will be $7 per adult and $6 per child, no family options will be available.

Business Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of the month in Shamrock Shed located behind the church at St. Patrick Church of Merna at 7:00pm. Join Brother Knights at 6:30pm and say the rosary.
